Stuart Warner is one of the nation’s most experienced writing coaches and long-form editors. His work on diversity has received numerous honors. A few bullet points:• In 1993, Warner led a yearlong project on race, A Question of Color/Coming Together, which won the 1994 Pulitzer Gold Medal for Public Service. Warner has done hands-on work on two other Pulitzer winners and edited three other Pulitzer finalists.• Warner has taught Literary Journalism and Writing for New Media at the university level and has led seminars on both topics at conferences at Harvard, Columbia, the Poynter Institute, the National Writers Conference and elsewhere.• He has served as a senior editor at Phoenix New Times. The Arizona Republic, The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, the Akron Beacon Journal, The Lexington Herald-Leader and AOL News/Huffington Post.• He is the author of a biography, JOCK, about a high school basketball coach who navigates desegregation in Kentucky to produce the No. 2 team in the nation.
