CurrentProvide NASA Glenn Research Center’s (GRC) over 3000 civil servants and support service contractors with the information and tools they need to advance NASA missions.+ Co-developed a Knowledge Management (KM) Program using multiple KM and leadership techniques to overcome management and cultural resistance.+ Developed lessons learned capture process designed to capture both technical and non-technical lessons.+ Developed knowledge infusion process designed to actively incorporate captured knowledge into workforce processes, procedures, and culture. + Developed a knowledge capture and transfer process to address workforce attrition and organizational succession planning.+ Developed and presented approach to using narrative structure and storytelling for knowledge capture and sharing.+ Wrote the Center’s KM strategic plan, a knowledge loss risk notice, a KM working group charter, and procedural documents for nine KM processes.+ Designed and implemented a KM SharePoint-based intranet site and a KM collaboration SharePoint site.+ Proposed, led, and reported on a successful pilot activity designed to explore the use of knowledge mapping to address specific knowledge retrieval challenges at the Center.+ Established ground-floor data and document configuration.+ Researched and designed 100+ KM presentations and training materials.+ Organized and facilitated over fifty lessons learned activities and hundreds of other knowledge capture, transfer, or sharing activities.+ Initiated collaboration between the KM Program and the digital transformation initiative, the NASA library, model-based systems engineering initiative, configuration management working group, and more.+ Led working groups addressing lessons learned process, attrition and knowledge/expertise mapping, Website Development, training, and more.+ Led a gap analysis activity for the 12-person KM office.+ Mentored Center officers, project managers, interns, contractors, etc. in KM and KM processes.
