My role was to plan and manage marketing activity on behalf of Hoople Ltd, in close collaboration with the Senior Management Team. This included the development of a clear marketing and communications strategy that helped to establish and maintain Hoople's brand proposition and build its customer base. In addition, I was also responsible for bid writing in order to gain additional large scale contracts for the business.

My role was two fold. Firstly, to raise the profile of Worcestershire as a great place for inward investment, hence leading to economic prosperity and jobs for the county. I worked closely with the LEP Executive Director, Chairman and Board on various projects with this objective in mind, including the development of various 'Invest in Worcestershire' marketing materials (particularly a promotional film and brochure) and the PR associated with Stage 4 of the Tour of Britain 2014 coming to Worcestershire (hosted by the LEP).On a day-to-day basis the other part of my role was to raise awareness of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, particularly amongst the local business audience. It was important to highlight the LEP's importance in determining the county's strategic economic priorities. The LEP's role in negotiating with Government was one of the key messages, particularly the work it undertook with partners to submit a county Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) for the period from 2015-2022.Mine was a broad marketing communications role, incorporating the full range of digital and print marketing materials and tools but with a particular focus on media relations, digital communications and print.

Marketing in its broadest sense - from writing copy for brochures or websites, company newsletters and sales materials to public relations, media campaigns and event management.

Distribution of health promotion materials to GP surgeries, Health Visitors, School Nurses and other allied professionals. Also development of leaflets on aspects of health promotion, eg Falls Prevention in the Elderly, Threadworms.

Also event management - from initial idea through to attendance on the day and review.

Worked closely with John Frost and Robin Ancrum to develop a PR strategy for VBL. Liaised with national business and management sector press. Was successful in achieving lots of coverage in many different titles.

Essanelle Ltd were concessionaires of hairdressing salons based in House of Fraser and other prestigious department stores. I worked for the Finance Director/Company Secretary carrying out senior PA-type activities: correspondence writing, diary management, fielding of enquiries, etc.
