An engineer by qualification. An educator by passion!!I have completed my M. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, but my passion lies elsewhere. Having an impact and making a difference are my biggest goals. And what better way to do that than to TEACH?This passion is not unfounded. I have worked as a core team member for 2 years at Shiksha Sopan, an NGO under the guidance of the renowned and revered Prof. H.C. Verma, where we aimed to build an environment that supports and celebrates curiosity, creativity and individuality of school children from around the IIT Kanpur campus, most of them belonging to under-resourced families.During the lockdown (June-August 2021), I formed and led "Project Shamannay", a team of 25 volunteers who worked to provide relief to underprivileged communities severely affected by the pandemic. In a mere 3 months, we provided relief worth Rs 1.6 lacs, reaching out to over 300 families in need.I consider my strengths to be my ability to work in and lead teams, something I have been doing ever since my school days. I find myself most motivated when I am problem-solving and organising, especially as part of projects that aim to have a positive impact.
