Will Knapp is the Regional Manager (First Sergeant) of Military District of Washington (MDW) Army Medical Recruiting Company. He directly supervises five recruiting stations and is responsible for the operations management, marketing strategy, training, and development of more than 30 personnel that recruit healthcare and allied health professionals for the United States Army within Washington, DC., Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky. As a Regional Manager, he was recognized by the U.S. Army Chief of Staff as one of the Army's top 13 of 261 recruiting companies in 2022. Prior to serving as a Regional Manager in April 2022, Will served as the Healthcare Recruiting Manager for the Washington, D.C. Army Medical Recruiting Station, where he led a team of eight recruiting professionals across Washington, D.C., Southern Maryland, and Norhtern Virginia. He was responsible for market analysis and strategy implementation within one of the nation's most diverse markets. As a Healthcare Recruiting Manager, he was recognized by the Command Sergeant Major of the Army as one of the Army's top 13 of over 1,400 recruiting stations in 2021.Prior to serving as a Healthcare Recruiting Manager, he served as a Healthcare Recruiter and talent acquisition specialist for the Albany Army Medical Recruiting Station where he directly recruited professionals and students across more than 9,600 sq. miles of upstate New York, Western Massachusetts, and Southern Vermont and New Hampshire. He specialized in physician recruiting and was recognized as the #1 recruiter in company in 2019. Before working as a recruiting specialist, Will served as an Emergency Care Manager and Senior Medic for a light infantry company with over 100 personnel. Will is an experienced combat veteran with deployments, as a medic, in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel and Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as a personal security officer and medic for strategic U.S. advisors to the President of Afghanistan and Minister of Defense. He holds an Associate of Science in Health Science from Purdue University Global, is a former National Registry Emergency Medical Technician, and is currently studying at University of Charleston where he will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership in Aug 2023. He is also a registered Stop the Bleed instructor with the American College of Surgeons.
