Volunteer member of the Quick Response Team (QRT) to deploy with MTA's Incident Response Vehicle (IRV). IRV and the QRT are a 'second responder' resource following disasters that interrupt telecommunications services. IRV and the QRT will deploy to assist that regions service provider restore services in the affected area.

The CCDC is a competition that requires teams college students to operate, secure and document a virtual business network, while responding to "injects" - simulated day-to-day business requests from a white team.. all while trying to make sure the red team (a group of actual white hat & certified ethical hackers) doesn't take control of their network.My role as Chief Judge includes monitoring the dynamic competition environment, delivering a barrage of "injects", coordinating red team efforts, scoring injects and making a final determination of the competition winner in a fair & unbiased manner.

Currently I am responsible for the design, maintenance, operation, and installation for the wireless network, as well as many parts of the core Ethernet network as well.I started at Gardonville as an 'Internet Specialist' and did a lot of helpdesk work, as well as ran on wireless troubles at customer houses, etc. As time when on, I migrated into doing more work at the tower sites, and took on responsibilities like server updates, minor switching changes, and internal IT support. After a year or two, I was promoted to Wireless Network Engineer, and job duties evolved into additional core services, and being the primary engineer for the wireless services.In addition to the wireless and core responsibilities, Gardonville's other service lines also created opportunities for me to get experience in many other areas. Some other projects and services I have dealt with are - construction of a TV studio in our HQ building, IPTV services, turn up of a Local Access channel - including live remote broadcasts, Panasonic phone system installations, security system installations, surveillance systems, WiFi hotspots utilizing the Cell On Wheels (COW), and many others.

Part owner of a small wireless company. We installed WiFi to resorts, campgrounds, businesses, and did installations of 700MHz wireless Internet for Gardonville Coop Telephone. I was later recruited to be an employee of Gardonville Coop Telephone.

Assisted the IT department as a work study employee in many areas of the network. Projects during the time I worked with them included re-cabling computer labs, installing new network cabinets, installing new network cabling in rooms during remodeling, assisting with deployment of a Cisco IP phone system, fiber optic termination, old cable removal, installation of a cell phone repeater system, network mapping, new switch configuration and deployment, software deployment, building of a 5-rack test lab, and many other IT related tasks.

Installation of wireless and dial up Internet services, customer support, email support, server maintenance, supporting the LAN of Red Rock Central High School, and new PC and software deployment.
