I am a loud and passionate voice for sound and storytelling. In 2012 I founded SpokenLayer after seeing the opportunity in personalized and short form audio. The problem was a deeply personal one - as a dyslexic, I needed to listen not read. SpokenLayer has since grown to a global, profitable, and industry leading company that helped Google, Amazon, and others launch and grow their smart speakers amongst many other partners. I’ve raised over $10M in venture capital and participated in multiple top tier accelerators in NYC and SF. I’ve always believed the time for audio and voice would come, and now it has. I’ve consistently relied on audio as it’s the way that I process so much of the world and am so excited that everyone sees it as well now! Over the past decade, I’ve relied on my endless energy and infectious positivity to carry me through the ups and downs of startup life as I forged ahead in a space that didn’t yet exist.Besides my obsessions with technology, startups and EV’s, you may find me rowing in Austin, teaching yoga, performing as a choral singer, or attempting to build my own furniture.
