Work with various clients on custom projects.

Took a break from the cubicle to travel the planet and work remote as a digital nomad with my wife. This was before remote work was common and before things like affordable global cell plans existed. It was a wild ride and included many late nights working in hotel rooms, cafes, and libraries. I worked on a couple of MVP products for clients and for pleasure.

Bar-Z started out by producing educational GPS tour products for parks and zoos. I worked on early mobile development initially on custom devices and eventually on smartphones. I also built a J2EE backend CMS to manage the device content. I also authored a patent for GPS Gaming used at the International Spy Museum.

Cesura was a startup software company that built software to monitor networks and business solutions. Built large production networks and created multi-tier applications to test performance metrics. Wrote load scripts to simulate overwhelming traffic.

Motion Computing is a startup tablet PC company focused on vertical markets. I was an intern for Software Department under the direction of the VP of Software. I developed tools for use by development and quality assurance. I did integration testing of hardware and software components. I developed an infrastructure of test suites in VBScript to assure the quality of in-house and third-party software. Motion was a great company and I learned as much as I could.
