The best job ever. I was a foundation member of the Z Energy Business Accelerator Team, a small group of high achievers with diverse backgrounds within Z Energy. The dual purpose of the team was the rapid creation of value and to trial, prove out, and role model Agile ways of working within Z Energy by taking briefs from the General Managers of all business units. Supply Sme Transition Team
    Z Energy Nz Mar 2015 - Aug 2016
In June 2015, Z Energy announced its plans to acquire the Chevron New Zealand business. Following the announcement, a team of professionals including contractors, vendors and partners, came together to work and ensure the successful completion of this transaction. .From March 2015 to July 2016, I was a member of this high performing team, fulfilling the role of Supply and Distribution subject matter expert. Together, the programme team was responsible for completely replacing all of Chevron New Zealand’s IT systems, business processes and contracts, as well as implementing a complete migration of all Chevron New Zealand’s data over to Z’s operating environment . The programme activity was required to be completed without creating undue risk to Z’s operating environment, nor compromising business as usual activities and whilst still being competitors in the marketplace. While a project of this size and scale can take years to complete successfully, the Z programme team were required to be ready in just six months, in time for the planned original Commerce Commission approval date of 18 December 2015. The programme delivered all of its objectives, reaching the state of being in the position to declare business ‘readiness’ before the end of the 2015 calendar year. Approval from the Commerce Commission delayed the acquisition undertaking. Following final approval being received on 29 April 2016, all cutover activities were completed by 1 June, 2016, with the combined business declared as being stable less than a week later. The programme finished in July 2016.
