Serves as INR’s senior counterterrorism analyst and subject-matter-expert (SME) for threats to Europe and Global Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremism (REMVE) as well as INR’s representative for the portfolio within the broader Intelligence Community (IC). Monitors all-source intelligence in a variety of databases as means to analyze threats to and risks for U.S. diplomats around the world, with greatest emphasis on Europe. Produces estimative, strategic assessment for a wide-variety of policy makers that provide insights into emerging threats, radicalization dynamics, and the effectiveness of CT policies. Provides these assessments in both written and oral form to a variety of clients, including military personnel, intelligence officials, and policy-makers at the highest levels of the U.S. national security enterprise. Frequently convenes interagency working groups on threats to Europe and global RMVE as to provide policymakers with decisional advantage. Travels to the region to participate in conferences and engage with experts.Before assuming the Europe/REMVE portfolio, spent 10 years as INR’s expert terrorism in the Middle East and North Africa, to include threats from both Sunni violent extremist organizations and the Iranian Threat Network.My engagement with a wide variety of partners within the national security community has fostered a deep understanding of the inter-agency policy process, experience working with teams of diverse entities, and assisted me in cultivation of a network of academics, foreign government officials, non-governmental organizations, and private-industry experts on counterterrorism and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).I have researched and drafted hundreds of INR products and IC assessments, including authoring a National Intelligence Estimates, Presidential Daily Briefs, and other interagency products. My innovative research and ability to synthesize complex trends into cogent analysis.

Teaching national security and mentoring future members of public service. My courses focus on developing skills practical in the national security sector to include research, writing, and briefing. My students also gain valuable experience for work in government by simulating the NSC process and delivering briefs and policy memos to senior officials.

- Served as the U.S. Intelligence Community's (IC) focal point for deep-seated expertise, long-term analysis, and interagency collaboration related to global terrorism.- Drafted flagship NIC products that provided foresight of emerging threats within the realm of global terrorism for senior policy makers. These products included a National Intelligence Estimate on the future of terrorism that provides the IC with framework for comprehensively assessing the threats from diverse actors.- Authored international and national level threat assessments including the terrorism sections of NATO’s Joint Threat Assessment and the Director of National Intelligence’s (DNI) Annual Threat Assessment.- Briefed audiences at the highest levels with the USG, international organizations, and foreign partners/allies. These briefs solidified my reputation as an international expert on global terrorism.- Led and harmonized the IC's production of strategic analysis as it relates to counterterrorism, terrorism, and other transnational threats.- Advised the DNI and Cabinet officials on counterterrorism, terrorism, and transnational threats.- Led, planed, and facilitated community sessions with a broad range of academic and private industry experts. IC specialists and non-USG experts attended these sessions in order to broaden the IC's perspectives and identify future trends.
