Supported the mission by designing and developing robust individual and major donor cultivation plans. Managed database, gift acknowledgment, prospect research, grant writing, Board relations, community alliances, fundraising events, and mission awareness efforts. Selected Achievements:• Increased donor contributions for start-up school in second year of operation by 250% over previous year to $235,000 extending the tremendous impact of the School’s programs on un-schooled and under-schooled teenage refugee girls. • Initiated and developed 15 foundation grants with awards exceeding $125,000.

Founded in 2002, ICS is a DeKalb county public Charter School providing International Baccalaureate (IBPYP) Certified educational opportunities for refugee, immigrant, and local children with an advanced international education.Recruited after serving as a founding Board member to provide strategic direction for all fund development for this start-up, Charter school in one of the 5 largest refugee resettlement areas in the U.S. Designed and implemented the fund development plan and outreach efforts that included printed collateral, E-newsletters, online content, and public presentations. Led Board-level discussions related to development strategy and implementation.
