I was raised by two Anthropology professors in Eugene, Oregon and went on to earn my Bachelors of Science in horticulture from Oregon State University. I began my career at a small non-profit botanical garden in Portland, Oregon, initially working with the plant collections and the records database. Within a few years I became the Garden Manager, and also, by fault of my own resourcefulness, the computer and network administrator. Eventually I transitioned from horticulture to digital photography and web design. I accepted a part time internal web developer position at IBM, and within a few years became a full time employee.Over the years at IBM I've held various communications roles working with local teams and our global Intranet. Currently I manage content for our employee home page and help a large team of content creators and editors write and publish strategy and results focused content for their diverse audiences.
