In charge of research and cataloging of all antique & estate jewelry for Doyle & Doyle. Properly identifying jewelry through observation, testing of metals & gemstones, calculating carat weights, researching hallmarks & maker's marks - and researching the history of pieces, when possible - or for special exhibitions put on by Doyle & Doyle. I researched and wrote descriptions for the two Vault Series exhibitions put on by Doyle & Doyle: A Life Adorned: Lavish Accessories and Sentimental Rings: From Birth to Death and In-between. I designed the layout of the Sentimental Rings exhibit and assisted with the layout and dialogue of the catalog for that show.In addition to my job as cataloger, I worked with fashion magazines, publications, stylists & bloggers, in arranging loans of Doyle & Doyle's jewelry for editorial photo shoots and other promotional needs. This required meeting with magazine editors, stylists and writers - or working with them through email to select pieces for the photo shoot, arrange insurance and pick ups - as well as keeping track of editorial placements in said publications.

This involved vision, creating budgets, networking, contact with artists, promotional design, installation, writing of didactics, publicity, organizing, fundraising and working with and organizing a team of members and volunteers. The end product being high quality exhibitions and events that were well attended and praised by the people of the San Juan Islands, press, and visitors from around the world."...Wendy grasped the reigns of the organization and brought great energy, imagination and structure to the function.
