• Founded and chaired the initial IEEE 802.11 Mesh Networking Study Group that defined the charter and scope of the 802.11s Task Group. • Elected technical editor of the IEEE 802.11s Task Group • Formed and led the development of a 165-page joint proposal in collaboration with contributors from 38 companies that was unanimously adopted by the task group as the basis for the 802.11s draft specification.

Lead software designer / developer of a computer vision based tree ring analysis system. Worked closely with an interdisciplinary team of dendrochronologists and engineers. Responsibilities included computer vision and image processing algorithm research, software engineering, graphical user interface design, coding, and testing.
