- Assisted in the training and supervision of more than a dozen undergraduate and graduate research assistants conducting contract-based public history work throughout the West Georgia region.- Managed the development of a new website and coordinated strategic planning for the West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail, which documents and interprets the history of textile manufacturing in West Georgia. http://westgatextiletrail.com/- Oversaw the development of guided tours, indoor/outdoor interpretive signage, and ArcGIS Story Maps for the UWG University History Project, a Provost-funded effort to document and interpret campus history.- Collaborated with Center faculty and staff, as well as the UWG Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, to secure additional grant-funded projects from local, state, and national partners.

- Led the professionalization and rebranding of a local historic house museum as a museum of community history and culture, operated in partnership with the Museum of Nebraska Art.- Established and reported to a 14-member Advisory Board of community and university partners. - Developed a new mission, vision, and administrative policies for the museum, including a new strategic plan, collections policy, deaccessions policy, and interpretive plan, resulting in a 350% increase in annual visitation.- Created and managed an $80,000 annual budget, $750,000 endowment, and grant-funded projects and educational programs of up to $15,000.- Oversaw a $250,000 restoration and rehabilitation project, resulting in the opening of approximately 8,000 sq. ft. of additional exhibit and interpretive space. Secured funding for this work through donations, local and regional grants, university funds, and in-kind contributions.- Conducted original research and expanded the museum’s interpretive reach through a $110,000 project resulting in the installation of two new permanent exhibits, the development of touchscreen interactive kiosks, the creation of a custom mobile tour app, and the production of a documentary film, Stone Mansion on the Prairie. - Organized and managed the first full inventory and digitization of the museum’s collections in its 43-year history, including over 4,000 artifacts, 5,000 photographs, and 20 linear feet of archival records.- Standardized the cataloging of the museum’s collections using PastPerfect.- Authored and managed grant-funded projects and educational programming, including the Nebraska Chautauqua (funded by the NEH) and a series of history cycling tours called Pedaling the Past (funded by Humanities Nebraska).- Created and delivered regular educational programming, including programs for schools, children, and adults, ensuring both a high-quality visitor experience as well as a historically accurate presentation.

- Assisted the Museum of Florida History with research, curation, and interactive design for the $2 million permanent exhibit: Forever Changed: La Florida, 1513-1821.- Conducted research for the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge and produced an interpretive report on the 1842 St. Marks Lighthouse and the impact of the Civil War on coastal north Florida.- Worked as a part-time docent at the Museum of Florida History and the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, creating and providing educational programs for schools, children, and adults.

National Park Service/ASU Contracts - Research Lead (August 2009 - February 2013)- Conducted original research and produced a 541-page Historic Resource Study for the Flagstaff Area National Monuments (Walnut Canyon, Wupatki, and Sunset Crater Volcano), interpreting the history of those national monuments after European contact and providing recommendations for future exhibits, programs, and interpretation.- Conducted original research and produced a Special History Study for Tavasci Marsh, Tuzigoot National Monument, which informed the development of an Environmental Assessment for the restoration and interpretation of one of Arizona’s two remaining natural wetlands.- Supervised a dozen ASU graduate students and served as a content expert for the creation of interpretive wayside signage at four national monuments: Tuzigoot, Montezuma Castle and Well, Sunset Crater Volcano, and Wupatki National Monuments.- Provided professional consultation on the research and interpretive plan for an exhibition design project for Fort Union National Monument, New Mexico.- Served as the lead historical consultant on a public memorial project for the Freedom Bridge Association, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.Graduate Teaching Assistant (January 2012 - December 2012):- HST101 - Global History Since 1500- HST109 - US History to 1865- HST204 - US Presidency- HST306 - American Cultural History- HST340 - American Military History

- Researched, designed, fabricated, and installed interpretive and interactive elements in the temporary exhibit: Choosing a Future with Water: Lessons from the Hohokam (2011).- Provided professional consultation for the design and implementation of the temporary anthropological exhibit: What Would You Do? (2012).

- Created and maintained a digital database and physical archive of permitting records for the Office of Submerged Lands and Environmental Resources, Division of Water Management. Worked summers and school breaks for three years.

- Conducted original research, wrote interpretive script, prepared artifacts for display, and assisted in the design and installation of the 6,000 sq. ft. permanent exhibit: The Gunboat Philadelphia.- Served on the eight-member exhibit design team, working in collaboration with in-house designers, fabricators, and educators throughout the planning and installation process.- Completed the inventory, relabeling, and cleaning of the museum's extensive uniform and weapons collections, which included more than 16,000 artifacts, ensuring that these objects were housed according to best professional standards.

- Organized, described, and completed finding aids for several dozen new archival and photographic collections.- Used the institute’s extensive photographic collections to develop the temporary exhibit, Scenes from Iwo Jima (2007).

- Conducted original research, wrote interpretive script, and assisted in the design and installation of the temporary exhibit: Seminole People of Florida: Survival & Success.- Conducted research, provided educational programming, and developed interpretive script for living history programs in the restored Spanish mission and fort.- Assisted in the acquisition, accessioning, and proper storage of dozens of collections. Completed descriptions and condition reports for these acquisitions, which included textiles, furniture, photographs, and paper records.- Served as a docent/interpreter for museum visitors, creating and overseeing educational programs and tours for schools, children, and adults. Supervised eight volunteer docents.- Greeted visitors at the front desk, answered visitor inquiries, and recorded visitor demographics.
