As President and CEO of Revware Inc., I enjoy working to improve and provide tools for capturing accurate 3D data in support of numerous commercial and research applications. I embrace the challenge to make our products ever more effective, reliable, and simple to use. My dedication to this comes from my design background where the notion “Simple is Beautiful” is a motivating aesthetic.As a member of the executive team of Revware since soon after its founding in 1992, I have led the development of the first instance of the commercial application of CAD-driven modeling (reverse engineering) with integrated digitizers for the purpose of concept-to-product engineering. Under my leadership as CEO and President beginning in 1997, Design Automation (rebranded as Revware Inc. in 2001) was awarded the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award for four consecutive years.My passion is in continuing to drive the way forward in commercial CAD-driven modeling and 3D data collection, and to pave the way for future innovations that make 3D data collection and use ever more accurate.Earlier in my career, I served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Land Development Laboratory Inc. (LDL), an innovative corporation created to develop and patent augmented reality technology applied to land development planning. For this groundbreaking work, I received the North Carolina Governor’s Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, and from 1990-1992 I continued this work under the name New World Graphics.I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Design from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master’s of Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University with a concentration in the application of computer systems for design and three-dimensional visualization. In addition, I am an avid roller skater, a skating instructor, and have been heavily involved in the resurgence of grassroots, female-focused entrepreneurial efforts of local and national flat-track Roller Derby teams. Revware introduced the concept of CAD-based reverse engineering to manufacturing industries in the early 1990's and developed the first commercial linkages between production CAD software and digitizing devices including bridge CMMs, articulated arm digitizers and other specialty digitizers. In 2009, Revware purchased the MicroScribe product line from Immersion Corp and has continued development of the product line. MicroScribe systems, including the new MicroScribe i+ series, are sold worldwide through a network of B2B resellers and OEMs who integrate our products into their solutions. I have worked with customers to develop and improve systems for surgery, prosthetics, manufacturing, quality assessment, forensics, reverse engineering, product design, and graphics arts, to name a few application areas.

Oct 2009 - Dec 2013Raleigh, Nc, UsRevware Systems, Inc. was the initial manufacturing entity of the MicroScribe line of portable articulated arm digitizers after purchasing the assets from Immersion Corporation. Revware, Inc., was the first OEM of the MicroScribe at its commercial introduction in 1995 and then purchased the MicroScribe assets from Immersion Corporation in mid-2009. Revware Systems was incorporated to continue manufacturing MicroScribe PCMMs in San Jose, CA. Since reintroduction, hundreds of the improved devices have been sold worldwide through resellers and more than a dozen specialized OEMs in markets ranging from anthropology and computer animation to guided surgery and manufacturing. Revware Systems was absorbed into the parent company in 2013 and operations were moved to the Revware headquarters in Raleigh, NC.
