A Mac Specialist & Consultant with over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles across the IT spectrum. My focus is on the architecture, design, implementation and support of the Apple ecosystem within business, most recently in the financial sector.I have worked in support of - and on consultancy projects for - clients as diverse as creative, design, and media agencies, web developers, global charities and banks. Notable projects have included; The IT aspects of a new office fit-out combined with a 3 company office move, a ground-up network refresh for an office space housing many companies in the Next15 group, integrating a couple of hundred Macs into the Active Directory domain of a new school and setting up a ‘virtual office’ of servers and storage in a data centre for a company whose entire workforce were mobile - an early ‘cloud solution’.I'm an experienced, knowledgeable and personable IT professional with a very broad technical knowledge and a wealth of macOS, iOS and general IT experience. It is this experience which guides my ability to find workable, comprehensive and flexible solutions to problems and needs.At heart I'm a Mac Geek whose experience started with an Apple //e to play Adventure and some “20 Questions” like game (the name of which is lost to the ages) by way of a Performa 400 (a re-badged LCII), PowerBook G3, numerous iMacs, MacBook Pros and more besides, I find myself typing this on a T2 MacBook Pro.I've been an IT trainer, worked for IT consultancies, and lead in-house IT teams. I am currently the Head of macOS Infrastructure for Barclays, and we're doing interesting stuff!
