Member of the Nova technical services team, responsible for medium term planning.Key responsibilities include:• Monthly development of rolling three month mine schedules• Area design (stope and development design, for localised stoping blocks)

Leading a development crew consisting of fifteen employee's and four jumbo's. Responsible for:• Safe execution of the 8-day development schedule• Driving a culture of zero harm and high workplace standards• Liasing with the development control tower, rapid development crews and other departments to maximise development productivity and schedule compliance

Member of an eight-person team that undertook an operation level top-down bottom-up improvement project, focused on achieving a step-change in mine throughput to the ROM.Responsible for:• Implementing, chairing and handing over a daily mine managers meeting• Developing a mine supply chain map and associated value driver tree’s• Analysis of fleet capability and risk analysis• Identification of bottlenecks and risks in the mine supply chain

Member of the Mine Planning team, responsible for:• Drill and blast design: Production, vertical development, service hole and cablebolt • Managing and scheduling the 7-person operating design team, ensuring the timely delivery of development, drill and blast, raise drill and backfill plans for executionKey achievements include:• Overhauling the Mine Planning system from 17 software packages to 2 integrated packagesDeveloped and received approval for the ~$2 million financial investment justification, based on identified improvements to safety, productivity and industry best practice. Led the management of change for the project, ranging from risk assessments and stakeholder engagement through to implementation of necessary controls. Co-led the transition of drill and blast to the new system.• Re-designed the operating design schedule processDesigned and implemented a schedule process for the operating design team, whom are responsible for delivering ~100 designs per week. The process, based on Deswik Scheduler, prioritises pending design tasks in-line with the monthly production schedule. Results included a marked improvement in design delivery and the elimination of 500 work hours per year via automation.

Member of the Mine Production team, responsible for:• Budget modelling and inputs (5-year plan, 2-year budget, quarterly re-forecasts)• Chairing weekly production variance meetings• Conducting production and compliance analysis and monthly reporting• Continuous improvement and benchmarking of underground production operations• Blasting project: controlling development blast vibrations in close proximity to critical shaft infrastructureKey achievements: • 5 Year Plan Fleet ModellingDeveloped models for Load and Haul for use in productivity and fleet forecasting, with scenario analysis capabilities. Integrated models into the monthly, quarterly, budget and five year plan process. Clearly identified and justified the necessity to purchase ~$33 million in equipment to facilitate material movement requirements. • Increasing Mine Utilisation (Lean Six Sigma)Led a 3-member team focused on improving mine utilisation. Through employing Lean Six Sigma principles an annual saving of ~$3.4 million was identified, in conjunction with the associated pipeline of discrete improvement projects.

Rotation underground working across services, load and haul, drill and blast and development. Satisfied underground experience requirements required to attain First Class WA Mine Managers Certificate.

Member of the Underground Production team, gaining exposure to underground D&B and production operations.Completed a blasting excellence project to evaluate the use of JKSimBlast to minimise stope under and overbreak.
