Our breath-tests may also be used for pharmaceutical research, veterinary sciences, cancer research, and naturopathic medicine where food intolerances and gastrointestinal issues present. Manage the Toxicology Department, supervising 20 employees, with an annual budget of $2.0 million. • Develop and validated the testing procedure and wrote the documentation for catacholamines and metanephrines in human urine, bringing in net revenue of $500,000/year.• Update the GC/MS testing with Agilent 5973 Mass Selective Detectors, and a new spectral library, enabling the identification of over 8,000 different compounds, while operating unattended. Wrote Windows XP batch file code for automation of data archiving, deletion, and disk maintenance,• Streamlined the test schedule in the department, enabling a reduction of 1 FTE, while increasing testing volume by 66,250 tests over the previous two years.• Contributed to a Black Belt Six Sigma project spanning one year, that redesigned the Specimen Management Department for better throughput and leveled out the specimen flow to the labs.
