Designed windows, doors and hatches for Commercial, Yacht and Recreational uses.* Designed new and replacement windows, doors and hatches for weather-tight and watertight service.* Developed configurable parametric Solidworks master models, shop and approval drawing. These models are then used as the template for new orders, significantly shortening the required engineering while maintaining product standards.

Performed mechanical and electrical systems and structural design work.* Designed all electrical wire harnesses for the 32ft Coast Guard Trailerable Patrol Security Boat with a high degree of accuracy, resulting in significant savings over the life of the 50 boat contract. Designs for prior contracts often required as many as 5 boat builds to correct all errors in the electrical wire harnesses.* Developed 3DVia presentations for use on the shop floor. These presentations were organized by system as well as build sequence and increased efficiency and easy access compared to the printed drawings previously used.

Developed the systems schematics and structural details for the Navy Diver Support Boats.* Developed all structural and systems drawings and documentation for the Technical Data Package (TDP) required by contract for the United States Navy.

Developed weldment structures, mechanical and electrical systems for production as well as customer changes. The Mechanical systems included Hydraulic, Steering and Stabilization, Fuel, Propulsion, Exhaust, HVAC and Plumbing. Also worked on Electrical systems and Lamination.* Redesigned the Sprinkler System replacing over 175 pipe fittings with a single manifold, reducing costs and enhancing the appearance of the installation. Combined two separate Water Maker Systems into a single enclosure saving valuable space in the equipment room. The new configuration could be completely assembled in the shop and installed in the boat in fewer hours.* Performed all engineering revisions required to change manufacture of new marine gear with a down angle of only 7 degrees, rather than the original 10 degrees. This project required new engine and gear foundations as well as new custom mounts for the marine gear.* Participated in numerous Sea Trials monitoring the performance of Propulsion, Fuel, Steering, Hydraulic, Mechanical and Plumbing Systems and resolving any issues that would arise.

Designed and detailed conveyor systems and equipment for the Automotive Industry.* Designed standardized conveyor system components.

Directed Sub Contractors in the execution of multi-million dollar projects for this First Tier Supplier to the Automotive Industry. Designed in-house equipment, systems and structural steel as necessary.

Responsibilities similar to those at RM Taylor (see below) but provided the opportunity to work on Larger Projects in both the Automotive and Fiberglass Insulation Industry.

Designed Automotive and Fiberglass Insulation Industry Conveyor Systems, Structural Steel and Related Equipment including Flat Top, Two Strand, Power and Free (Overhead and Inverted), Chain-On Edge and Fiberglass Forming Sections.* Participated in Field Engineering and Installation teams. Performed Engineering support to Ironworkers and Millwrights in the shop as well as in the field.* Performed project management for small projects.* Performed Conveyor System Layout and Carrier Clearance Studies and Controls Device Layout, Carrier Design and Service Platform Design.* Prepared Chain Pull and Drive Calculations.

Responsible for the development and production of the Zephyr Hurricane 150 Truck Mounted Carpet Cleaner. The project involved: Three Dimensional Cad design, Sheet Metal design and layout, NC part programming, Supervision of part production and welding, electronic and control circuit design and assembly, high pressure plumbing, System assembly and testing.* Reduced Technician downtime by palletizing the entire Carpet Cleaner. This enabled maintenance to be performed in the shop and not in the vehicle.* Injection of the soap and carpet cleaning chemicals after the high pressure pump and diesel fired boiler increased performance and extended service life.
