Work achievement:1.Integrate company resources and complete whole improvement & validation of an important transfer project within short time (6 months), lead team members to optimize Tool and one critical process to get Yield increased from 75% to 95%. 2.In mass production, found part had risk to get polluted. Lead team to analyze root cause, also look for solution actively. Instead of using Robot to ensure quality, we tried simpler solution to avoid higher cost of Robot & longer cycle time.3.Had demand from one important customer to increase capacity by 100%, while for limit of machine utilization (specific machine had production for other medical project, other machine did not fit) and cycle time (long cycle time, 69s), we could not meet requirement. After making further investigation of tool & machine status, we proposed ECN to optimize tool design, then make a spare part with new design to let old insert to run as before. In parallel, validate on another Molding machine with some capacity available. Finally, we got cycle time reduced from 69s to 45s, total capacity was increased by 110% without investing too much for a new complete tool & machine.4.During trial run and validation of a high temperature tool, it was always found silver mark could not be solved very well. Instead of accepting lower yield in production like some old projects, I tried best to challenge engineer, facility engineer together with resin & facility supplier to test and find a solution. Yield was increased from 90% to 95%, all other similar project followed this same solution and get improved yield.
