CIG supports government leaders and public officers through training, research and advisory projects. I develop the Institute’s strategic priorities and direction, ensure prudent stewardship of funding and resources, manage the execution of its mission and vision, and oversee the work of its research and programmes teams.

The Civil Service College is the central learning institution for the Singapore Public Service, and conducts training courses, research and advisory work for multiple government Ministries and agencies, I design, facilitate and conduct training programmes for government officials and civil servants from over 40 countries in Asia, South America, the Middle.

The Centre for Liveable Cities is a multi-disciplinary knowledge hub, that aims to distil, create and share knowledge on liveable and sustainable cities. Its work supports urban leaders in Singapore and abroad in addressing key urban challenges. As an Adjunct Senior Assistant Director and part of the CLC research team, I have authored several publications.

As the predecessor of the Chandler Institute of Governance, Freedom to Create focused on conducting research, developing frameworks and models, and publishing practical resource guides for government leaders around the world.

The CPE focused on developing and enhancing economics thinking and expertise in the public sector, and on conducting policy-relevant research on economic issues such as income inequality, development and growth, skills and manpower, and industrial policy..

I was responsible for coordinating bilateral and regional (ASEAN) energy policy negotiations, bilateral climate change negotiations and regional nuclear safety negotiations. During the course of my tenure, I was the national negotiator for climate finance and investment issues at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and contributed to the National.

I specialised in the formulation of defence and security policies, managed defence relations and diplomacy. This included the negotiation and finalisation of defence agreements and MOUs, and intensive work on major bilateral security cooperation agreements such as the US-Singapore Strategic Framework Agreement and Germany-Singapore Defence Cooperation.
