Working with scientists at Applied Physical Sciences Corp., successfully deployed an ocean directional wave spectrum measurement system onboard the US Navy LPD 17 class ship. The system provides a best heading to the Captain allowing him/her to decrease the roll of the ship. Decreased roll means better control of the capsule inside the well deck and greater comfort for the astronauts during at-sea retrieval operations.

Expert in handling and assembling the Solid Rocket Boosters for the Space Shuttle. Developed a Tungsten Piston Calorimeter to measure the pressure and heat rate of the solid rocket booster at the impingement point on the main flame deflector (directly beneath the 4000 degree plume).

Hangar Af Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

Designed and maintained ground support equipment (GSE) for use onboard the Space Shuttle SRB retrieval ships. Assisted as diver during the retrieval operations. Assisted in disassembling the SRB's after flight. Post Challenger: heavily contributed to the new ground support equipment design and instrumentation used for assembling the new joint. Performed SRB joint shape studies using tools and instrumentation developed to safe-guard assembly of the joint.
