Ready to head back west, I was excited for the opportunity to open a media relations office in the Bay Area to support New America's state policy efforts and ensure integration between the local and national policy teams. While media outreach was an important part of this role, I also worked to strengthen the policy team's ties with local (LA, SF, Oakland).
