I worked with the folks at Citizen Action and a number of other local organizations to bring awareness to political and social issues present in our community and at large. My main duty was to attend local events and engage with community members by either helping to educate or collecting stories and documenting the experiences. This mainly came through in registering voters and educating members of the public on current election laws and also using my skills as a photographer to capture important local events to spread awareness to the community at large. Other duties included lit drops, phone banking, and event planning.
