Experience:
• At the Business Entrepreneurship Conference, I was working with students from all over the world. Here we were placed into teams and pushed to create a theoretical business model, which we later would pitch to a panel of college and business world professionals.
o Taking Initiative was the first step when getting together with the team of students I would be working with for the next two weeks. Initially I had to pitch my ideas and my qualities to prove that I could lead the team to succeed as individuals and as a team. Ultimately, I was voted President of our team and helped lead them to win the overall conference.
o Communicating was key in creating a successful team. Working with students from all around the world, and many that spoke little English, I used my communication and social skills to connect the team as a whole and bring out each student’s potential.
o Through the experiences at this conference, it strengthened and enhanced my desire to create a personal business. A business specifically aimed to develop a tangible product, which would have a wide base social impact.
