Responsible for producing the outreach campaign running in parallel with The documentary film ‘Mum Calling’. This is an intimate portrait on informal care; the unpaid work of friends, family and other caregivers in supporting those who need looking after. The film premiered in The Netherlands Film Festival in 2018 to great acclaim. As part of a wider effort, The New Amsterdam Film Company and WeHelpen have developed a campaign exploring the rich and often complex world of informal care culture. Organising meet-ups, structured as in depth three-hour events wherein we create a space in which to share tips, practical information and experiences within a positive environment. Our goal is to support local and regional cooperation and enhance the bond between the caregiver, the municipality and strengthen care and welfare organisations.
