During my career I have held a number of leadership positions in nonprofit arts management. I have managed two theater companies, numerous galleries and public art projects, and managed a performing arts center. I have been a mentor for nonprofit business leadership in the arts, and I have taught basic core principles in arts business start-up and management. I have a keen eye for detail and excellent arts business management skills. I enjoy a team environment and am constantly pushing myself to learn new skills. I enjoy a challenging work environment and apply a high standard to my work ethic.With regard to my academic career, I bring to an academic department an innovative spirit, strong leadership and management skills, and a personal commitment to collaboration and teamwork. I have taught primary, secondary and college students. Having taught college students both at a large university and at smaller community colleges I am keenly aware of the hurdles many students face. My strengths in the classroom include my personal commitment to academic success for my students, as well as nurturing young artists. I also have extensive experience in community development and community branding, cultural tourism, theater for youth, and event creation, development and facilitation.
