Founded the China Energy Infrastructure Fund, a joint-venture clean technology fund with Huaneng Power, the largest power producer in China. Roles included overseeing the China Energy Infrastructure Fund, member of the investment committee, board director of the HK Advisory Co and GP as well as running the fund from Beijing in 2011. Created the HIW Solar Fund, to provide construction financing to private sector solar developers. Created the Potash Fund, a dedicated investment in the second largest potash mine company in China. Created the District Heating Fund, a fund to invest in clean energy district heating projects in northern China. Founded the Shenzen Bus Fund with Shenzhen Bus Group and Shenzhen Kunpeng Fund Management Company with the intent to set up a transport fund to invest in growth companies driving the electrification and the upgrading of transport in Southern China. Over $1BB in AUM including all related funds.

WL Ross managed over $6 billion across various value-oriented private equity funds. Completed private equity, hedge fund and debt investments mainly in the U.S., mainland China as well as globally.

Founding investment team member of Taiyo Pacific Partners, a $1.2 billion joint venture fund between WL Ross and Taiyo Pacific Partners Japan focused corporate friendly activist governance hedge fund anchored with a $1BB investment from CalPERS.

Sycamore managed over $550 million including a $153 million SBIC private equity fund in the U.S. and AsiaStar, a $165 million private equity fund in Asia. All funds focused on VC and growth technology, especially those bridging US and Asian markets. Completed private equity investments in the U.S. and mainland China.

Focused on mezzanine and private equity investments as well as high yield bond and bank debt investments in the following industries: oil and gas; technology; transportation; real estate; and industrial manufacturing.

CVC was a middle market private equity fund manager within Citicorp. Completed management buy-out transactions included The International Channel, Havco Wood Products, Electrocal and Dallas Airmotive. Completed Citicorp’s Management Associate Training Program. Spent a year on rotation in Citicorp’s high yield corporate finance group and completed five high yield lead underwritings.
