I provided phone and email support for GPS and optical land surveying equipment and software. I created instructional content for use of equipment and software. I was able to test and "play" with many different Topcon GPS receivers, Total Stations, Laser Scanners, and the software for collecting and processing the data obtained.

I coordinate and supervise the Engineering Section of the Right-of-Way Bureau at MassDOT to ensure efficiency and consistency in the ROW plan review process. The process ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, as well as Department standards.

I review all existing conditions survey baseplans that are received through the statewide survey contracts.I interact with MassDOT Project Managers, Survey Consultants, and Design Engineers utilizing my expertise as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor to evaluate proposed survey methods based on project type and requirements, evaluate work hour estimates, ensure on time submissions and delivery, and answer questions regarding the survey task. I assist in the field on an as needed basis to perform GPS for projects and the creation of the proposed NATRF 2022 horizontal datum, geodetic leveling for benchmarks, town line and state line monument recovery and re-setting.I assist in analyzing municipal and state boundary issues utilizing my qualifications as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.I work with the MassDOT CAD Standards Section to create and maintain standards for survey.I built, maintain, and utilize a Microsoft Access database to track S2 contract survey projects.I built, maintain, and utilize a Microsoft Access database for geodetic control. The MassDOT Office of Transportation Planning uses the database to create the public facing interactive webmap (http://gis.massdot.state.ma.us/maptemplate/geodeticcontrol).I help maintain a Microsoft Access database for municipal and state boundaries. Responsible for research, field work, property line determination and plan production. PFS performs a wide array of jobs. These include field work and plan development of ALTA/ACSM plans, ANR and Subdivision plans, As-Built, Construction Layout, Existing Conditions, FEMA flood plain determinations, Plot Plans, Residential property line determinations and monumentation of corners, Special Permit, and Topography.We use AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010, Leica Robotic Total Station, Leica Viva GS15 GPS.

Employed as Land Survey Chief of Party responsible for research, field work, data collection, and data delivery for various land surveying and construction projects. I am responsible to operate and maintain a company vehicle and field equipment; and to supervise the members of the survey party. I am responsible to complete my assigned projects on-time and on-budget; and I am often called upon to handle multiple projects at the same time; particularly in relation to construction projects. I regularly interact with engineering staff, public officials, contractors, clients, and the public. Examples of my work include: deed and plan research at town/city government and Registry of Deeds/Land Court; ALTA/ACSM, topographic/detail, property line/boundary, and as-built surveys; construction layout for commercial buildings (new construction and expansion of existing buildings); horizontal and vertical deformation monitoring surveys for structures; roadways (highway and local); railroads including right of way, subway tunnels (Silver Line) and major transportation hubs (North Station); piers & wharves (Russia Wharf); utilities; wetlands surveys; and photogrammetric control surveys. I am extremely familiar with the Topcon Total Station, Topcon Auto-Level, Leica Robotic Total Station, Leica System 500 GPS, Leica System 1200 GPS, Huskey FS/2 Data Collector, TDS Ranger Data Collector.

Performed various duties in both the field and office from research to finish drafting; all types of land surveys including ALTA/ACSM, topographic/detail, property line/boundary, photogrammetric control surveys, utilities, wetlands, construction layout, septic system layout & as-built, building layout; roadway layout; site grading control & layout. Used AutoCAD to draft survey worksheets, site plans, septic system plans, ALTA/ASCM plans, and as-built plans. Used Topcon and Sokkia Total Stations, Sokkia Auto-Levels, SDR33 Data Collector equipment.
