I am very pleased to announce that I will be actively be using my Illinois Licensed Professional Counselor credentials at The Juniper Center. My specialization and expertise is working with children and families having special educational and emotional needs. Professionally, I have worked for many years at Chicago Public and suburban schools. Personally, I am the parent of a child with an array of challenges and have direct ongoing experience coping with his evolving situation. I treat and support children, adolescents and families that struggle with medical and behavioral issues.I have worn the hat of a parent, teacher, counselor and case manager at the IEP table. My approach is multilayered focusing on the academic, emotional, family and marital issues that impact the family unit. I work to develop appropriate and extensive resources that support the family’s needs.
