As a teacher to students ranging from Kindergarten to High School, the purpose of my role is to provide a fun and educating space for kids to learn English and have opportunities to utilize and obtain experience with speaking English to teachers from foreign countries. Through textbooks and games my objective is to make English learning fun and to encourage kids to go out and abroad to learn more about the world.

LbE stands for "Learning by Experience" and is about promoting the practical use of English in a way that many Japanese have never experienced before. As a global leader, my job is to share my culture and experiences with students and adults in English, and to promote and support their use of English to communicate. The program also emphasizes sustainability, personal independence, and planning for the future of the individual and society. The Global Village also provides opportunities to learn about each other's countries through presentations, focus on specific topics, and direct conversations between global leaders and students about the host country of the global leader and the student's home country, Japan.
