My passion has always been storytelling. Whether that was making my friends crackup in high school, entertaining my students during lectures or simply spending time with my family, my brain is always spinning out some yarn to tell.My desire was to become a filmmaker but being so geographically far removed from those industries, there were next to zero opportunities locally to make that happen back in the day. I tried for two decades to break into the industry but refusing to move for personal reasons along with having to maintain a split focus between IT and CG made that difficult. Meanwhile, the story ideas never stopped.In 2015 I had an epiphany. "It takes so much time and effort to render a single frame of animation. Maybe I should try writing instead." After some intensive months of study, in 2016 I finally put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard to be more accurate, and committed to my first story.It hasn't been easy, not by a long shot. But I'm so glad I made the switch. Sometimes in life, you may find that you are on the right road, you just need to switch vehicles.

Perform security assessments for clients around the entire United States culminating in a final report delivered to the client detailing all security risks to their IT infrastructure. Reports were geared toward all levels of management: Executive Summary, Manager’s Summary and Technical Overview. Assessments include internal / external vulnerability scans, internal / external penetration tests, remote / onsite social engineering, war dialing, onsite vulnerability and onsite physical security. Mananged every technical aspect of the customer support process. Manage my time and work without direct supervision.

Designed and taught curriculum dealing with Microsoft Networking, Novell Networking, CISCO networking, Net+, Advanced TCP/IP, Subnetworking, A+ PC repair, HTML design, Cold Fusion scripting, graphic arts, Customer Service, digital logic, mathematics and Basic and Intermediate MS Office and participated in getting curriculum accredited. Managed classes ranging from 4-24 students. Responsible for instruction, grading tests, lab work, real-world projects, progress reports, and tracking student attendance.Designed and installed Windows 2000 AD network for classroom and office use. Migrated classroom Windows NT network to Windows 2000 AD system then to Windows 2003 AD. Designed and installed new IT building network from scratch. Installed and implemented enterprise Panda Anti-Virus solution. Designed and rewired many connections migrating from CAT3 and CAT5 to CAT5e. Coordinated fiber installations through cable contractor.

Team leader in charge of rollout for Ascension Parish School Board’s e-mail and internet system. Troubleshot central internet service, Cisco gateway, PIX firewall and frame relay service. Installed GroupWise 5.5 and Internet access over 20 schools and administrative locations, performed maintenance of central GroupWise 5.5 server, performed server maintenance at schools when necessary, provided training for teachers and administrators on the new system and handled support issues while on site.

Directly responsible for all computer and telecommunication needs within the corporation and all affiliate locations in the LA, MS area. Microsoft NT 4.0 domain, Microsoft Exchange 6.5 e-mail. Updated company to Y2K standards for approval by bond and share holders. Made all IT purchasing recommendations and decisions.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana Area (Exxonmobile Refinery)

Team member of Baton Rouge Refinery Office 2000 project. Responsible for roll-out of Win 95 and upgrade of PCs for over 2000 users. Member of desktop support and Level II software support. Resolved hardware/software problems and handled escalations of pending problems and projects. Supported multiple custom Access DB applications. Level II’s main job was immediate 24-hour service for the Refinery Superintendents.

Led a 2 man team managing a 200 node network split between Appro Systems and the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge and all PC break/fix. Consisted of 5 NT domains incorporating a Novell 3.11 network. Microsoft Exchange 5.5, Microsoft SQL 6.5, CA ArcServe backup.
