I am a licensed CPA in the state of Texas. During my time in college, I received an Internal Audit Certificate, awarded by the Institute of Internal Auditors Internal Audit Education Partnership. This certificate was obtained by completing prerequisite courses aimed at preparing me to be able to satisfactorily complete internal audits, immediately upon graduation. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with my BBA in Accounting in 2018, and my Master in Professional Accounting in 2019, I joined Solar Turbines in San Diego, California. In that role, I helped Solar analyze various business decisions and presented results to high-level decision-makers. Recently, I relocated to Houston, TX to work for our parent company, Caterpillar. At CAT, I analyze multiple customer agreements to ensure proper billing and accounting treatment is conducted. I have always worked to improve my technical skills, most recently taking courses refining my SQL, Tableau, and Advanced Excel skills. Throughout my experiences, I have also refined my skills around Cognos, Essbase/Hyperion, SAP, Syteline, and other accounting software systems.

Investment Analyst - AccountantCaterpillar Inc. Sep 2019 - Jun 2020Irving, Texas, UsAs an Investment Analyst, one of my responsibilities was analyzing appropriation requests from across the organization. In this process, I ensured that the requested funds were on budget and matched an approved quote from the vendor. For larger requests, detailed investment analyses were performed. I would take inputs from the requestor in the business and run Discounted Cash Flow analyses to see if a favorable NPV and IRR were returned. For projects that spanned a longer period, I would run quarterly updates to confirm that, as real costs came in, the project was still favorable. I would present the analytical results of the financial models to the CFO, controller, and group managers. In this position, I also handled ad-hoc requests such as conducting an Internal Audit of the organization’s assets by tracing and vouching from a listing to and from the shop floor. -
