Senior Designer - Store Design Standards And Implementation (Worldwide Retail Growth And Delivery)
I am currently responsible for the innovation, application and management of brand design standards across EMEA Retail Physical Stores and other projects. I collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to manage the execution of multiple end to end projects at any given time. I ensure that the customer and associate experience is to the highest quality whilst still balancing the need to drive frugality.I have managed the creation of design standards and guidelines including a suite of model stores for new store projects and retrofits. I manage external architects, and sub-contractors to deliver efficient, consistent and on budget stores which are focused on customer experience. I plan workloads and communication to ensure we can meet sometimes tight deadlines, with the agility to react to customer feedback quickly. I invent and interpret concept ideas into applicable standards which can be rolled out to the estate. Many of the projects I work on, by their nature, are ambiguous and require a lot of critical thinking and problem solving with sometimes limited information. I solve tactical store design problems as they occur during the construction process or when in use.Another fulfilling part of my time at Amazon is mentoring fellow colleagues and signing up to volunteer opportunities at local charities.
Senior Store Designer (Amazon Fresh)
I managed, designed and delivered store layouts and customer experience. Applying challenges of the JWO (Just Walk Out) Technology to the store environment creating a seamless and convenient experience for the customer. Using Revit, an efficient CAD programme which is instrumental to efficient BIM process. Providing that frictionless buying experience for the customer was complex. It involved testing of ideas, analysing data and thinking outside the box. I also needed to be aware of when an idea was not producing the results which was expected and react to this quickly and frugally.
Store Designer (Amazon Fresh)
When I joined Amazon Fresh the first store with JWO (Just Walk Out Technology) was yet to be launched. It was a start up environment where every process and procedure needed to be designed and developed. Therefore my roles and responsibilities covered feasibility studies, interior space planning, coordination of schematic design and detail design packs, as well as, defining processes and ensuring clear engagement of stakeholders. In sometimes ambiguous territory, I applied the challenges of the JWO (Just Walk Out) Technology to the store environment creating a seamless and convenient experience for the customer. Our models were created in Revit, an efficient CAD programme to give optimum accuracy but was also instrumental to efficient BIM process.
Retail Design Manager
During my tenure at Cath Kidston, I developed and implemented the Global Store Design Standards, I lead the international retail design team in developing 2D and 3D models, construction drawing packs and brand guidelines for new retail spaces, concessions, and PR events across the UK and APAC. I created a streamlined approval process with APAC franchise partners and their local designers. I always worked closely with local architects and design agencies to ensure high-quality execution. For our UK company-owned locations, I produced and managed technical architectural packages, scopes of work, building regulation drawings and schedules, guiding projects from property approval to store openings. I also contributed to the re-tender of our framework agreement and conducted site reviews, collaborating with external project managers, contractors, and supply chain partners.Under the direction of the Head of Store Design, I designed new store fixtures and collaborated with overseas supply chains, to ensure concepts were executed within budget.

We grew the magazine on social channels, at local artisan markets and distributed in retail stores internationally.
