Running the day to day paving operations. Setup of material import, traffic control, oversight of sub-contractors, Scheduling and paving operations. Also interaction with inspection and quality control of Cal trans and City inspectors.

I was an operator running a back-fill dozer on the Ruby Pipeline. This job required working exhausting hours and under a stressful work environment which proved no match to my work ethic. With most days running on to 17-18 hour work days, I stayed out of town working 6-7 days a week.

I mainly ran heavy equipment. I was asked to run various pieces of equipment as well as setting grade. Working for Granite for 1 year, I gained a good sense of big business experience and knowledge of corporate America.

For over 8 years I was a Forman at Garrett construction. I built and worked on the various tools that I gained from my field experience. Using these tools I gained many relationships within the city and in business. I have had the opportunity to work closely with city inspectors, engineers, project managers and superintendents. Building the cities of Fresno, Clovis, Hanford, Visalia, and Madera’s biggest commercial projects, I gained intangible work experiences which I use today. I learned how to work out problems in the field and creating an environment where time and budget were always met. Over the course of these 8 years I never had a job come in over budget. And I always met my deadlines. Many of my jobs were well above profit margins and always came in ahead of schedule, which put my on top of my field.
