I am currently employed at the Alan Auld Group based in Doncaster UK. My main role is to provide the coal face design and associated planning services required by some of the major coal mining companies operating in the UK.I have 30 + years experience in the mining industry and I am familiar with the latest longwall mining methods and technologies employed in this sphere. As part of the Alan Auld Group I am able to give assistance and advice to my fellow colleagues who's core skillset is in the specialist field of deep mine shaft design, surface drift access and portal design.

Responsible for the in-house mechanical coalface project design service and overseeing the technical submissions from the supplying OEM's. Value of such projects in equipment alone varied between £5-30 Millon.
