I am currently working as a Senior Mining Consultant at Deswik. Since joining Deswik, I have worked on multiple projects, across multiple commodities involving Strategic Pit Optimisation using Deswik.GO, Open Pit Design, Short-, Medium-, and Long Term Planning, and Material Flow Modelling using a combination of Deswik.Blend and Deswik.LHS. Prior to this I worked as a Technical Support Specialist focusing on strategy development and implementation, data analysis to inform critical business decisions, risk monitoring, and stakeholder management. I also worked as a Short-Term Planning Specialist, Business Improvement Specialist and Production Supervisor during my time at Wolvekrans Colliery. I enjoy working with people, being at the center of all the action, and I firmly believe in lifelong learning. I have obtained my Underground - and Open Cast Blasting Tickets and my Mine Managers Certificate of Competence. I completed my honours degree in Engineering and Technology Management in 2018. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with the people closest to me, cooking, fishing, gardening, and jogging.
