The datalytics team of Canon works on cloud solutions to improve the insight clients of Canon have on the performance of their printers. I was responsible for verifying new features against requirements, preventing regression, and maintaining overall quality and confidence in the products. Additionally, I performed end-to-end and integration testing making sure that the whole system worked as intended and performing root cause analysis when issues did pop up.

This committee gives advises the current board of the study association of biomedical technology about general policies and incident management. I was the first member of this advisory committee that wasn’t part of a previous board of SvBMT Protagoras. I was invited because I was heavily involved in the association and my board experience at other associations.

During my internship, I was mainly responsible for the synthesis of Calcitonin peptide variants. This research will be used for the development of methods that would remove impurities. Additionally, I performed assays on all these impurities to determine their enzymatic uptake as well as their relative retention times.

In this team, I joined an international competition called iGEM where we faced off against other universities in the area of synthetic biology. My function in this team was team manager and I also took part in the acquisition of sponsors and partners. Additionally, I took part in lab work. We were nominated for a prize in the undergraduate category and achieved a gold medal. During this project, I improved my technical skills but also improved in management, outreach, and managing high-pressure situations.

In this board position, I led the windsurfing association of Eindhoven as treasurer. I managed thebookkeeping and all activities, additionally, I developed a new accounting system, still used by current treasurers. In my board year, the largest number of members ever was achieved, and we founded kitesurfing as a new branch of the association.
