The founding of Mara Seaweed grew out of my love of wild food and resulting investigations for a book I co-authored with Fiona Houston, "Seaweed and eat it" Virgin, Random House 2008. We also wrote monthly foraging pieces for The Weekend Telegraph and later on Seaweed pieces for The Field. My interest in seaweed as a food also manifested in my cookery book, "The Seaweed Cookbook" Michael Joseph, Penguin 2016.
