Xamora Reed is an honors economics student at NC A&T with a passion for finance, law, and leadership. Her journey reflects a blend of initiative, service, and academic excellence, shaped by a deep commitment to empowering others and fostering meaningful change through continuous learning and collaboration.Graduating from high school with both a diploma and an associate’s degree, she demonstrated early on her ability to balance ambition with hard work. During this time, she founded a student club and developed a spreadsheet tool to help seniors organize post-graduation plans—a resource still in use today. These experiences reflect her natural leadership and problem-solving abilities, which she continues to hone through her academic and extracurricular involvement.Xamora has earned multiple scholarships, including recognitions with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and A&T's very own Willie A. Deese College of Business. Her professional development includes internships with the NC A&T chapter of Society of Women in Business, where she serves as the Treasurer’s intern. Additionally, she gained hands-on experience in education policy while interning with Cabarrus County Schools, working on programs designed to promote student success.Her dedication to social equity also shines through her research on media’s influence on equitable education. Presenting her findings at an international conference in Mexico gave her a global perspective on how funding, media, policy, and education intersect and highlighted the importance of addressing systemic challenges.Xamora aims to empower others through strategic leadership and community engagement while leveraging her skills to solve complex challenges. With each opportunity, Xamora strives to grow into a well-rounded leader prepared to navigate the intersection of finance, law, and service, making a positive difference in every space she enters.
