Led a team of 25 highly-engaging mass communicators and dynamic problem solvers in defining, ideating, creating and executing public affairs missions to solve both external and internal issues and keep the 5,000 shipboard Sailors as well as the global external audience abreast of operations and activities on board the premiere forward-deployed aircraft carrier, primarily operating in the western Pacific Ocean and South China Sea. Direct mentorship and leadership contributed to 9 Russel Egnor Navy Media Awards, including the Navy's 2016 Photographer of the Year, 2016 Graphic Artist of the Year, 2017 Writer of the Year, best digital presence for 2016, 2nd best media campaign for 2016, and various individual awards in the photojournalism, graphic artist, and video categories. Mentored the 2017 Thompson-Ravitz Awards for Excellence in Public Affairs' Junior Public Affairs Officer of the Year (Honorable Mention). Groomed 3 Sailors to be selected for the highly competetive Navy Advanced Visual Journalism Program at Syracuse University's S. I. Newhouse School of Communication, of which only 8 are selected Navy-wide each year.
