I am a renewable energy enthusiast with work experience in several African countries. I have specialized in energy access and decentralized rural energy distribution, having worked for some of the leading companies in the pay-as-you-go solar sector, and promoting a number of renewable energy technologies and business models, from pico solar products to larger stand-alone solar systems and energy efficient cooking solutions in Rwanda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast. I am especially interested in the productive use of renewable energy from both perspectives, technical: distributing clean energy and impact: enabling local entrepreneurship and boosting a decentralized economy.
