Work for the Permanent Bureau and the Hague Convention on the Hague Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters. Including role as Recording Secretary at the 2019 conference where the Convention was adopted, and support role in preparing the Explanatory Report. I coordinated and supported subject-matter working groups across countries.In this role I was involved in various other projects with respect to cross-border judicial co-operation, including collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization. Also worked on the Hague Convention on Child Abduction producing a best practice guide to implementation of the convention, particularly in relation to women fleeing domestic violence situations.

A three-month internship with BIICL working in the Public International Law Department, under the supervision of the institute Director, Professor Robert McCorquodale, and Dr Jean-Pierre Gauci. I assisted in research and writing for Professor McCorquodale’s published articles, compiled and reviewed updates to a prominent international law textbook, produced conference reports, and participated in corporate partnered research projects. I contributed to research used in advising one of the intervening parties in the UK Supreme Court Case on the constitutional requirements for Britain leaving the EU, and attended meetings with counsel during the course of the case.

The Australian National University

This student run program brings eminent indigenous elders and artists of the Central Desert to the ANU for an exhibition of traditional art, to support the not-for-profit Maruku Arts Centre. The exhibition was opened by Nobel Laureate Prof Brian Schmidt.In this role I interviewed and selected and managed students to be part of the organising committee. I created a viable budget, and secured funding from various donors. I managed the cross-cultural communication and differing expectations of involved parties; liaising with ANU officials and gallery managers on one side, and the indigenous art centre and artists on the other. We ran a highly successful event involving; a two week art exhibition; workshops in dot painting and other central desert art practices; and a launch event.This project is valuable as art, especially indigenous art, is an expression of culture, and provides an important learning tool and opportunity for cross-cultural communication.

The project is designed to engage ANU students with Indigenous issues, and to foster a relationship between the remote Indigenous Community of Mutitjulu and John XXIII College.Projects completed:• coordinated a group of students to travel to Mutitjulu for an annual ten-day programme • coordinated events such as expert panel discussions, and indigenous art exhibitions to engage students with local and national indigenous issues
