Xavier Blackhurst worked for several years as a Healthcare and Business Consultant working primarily with family practice groups on various aspects of their business. These projects include growth and expansion projects, EHR implementation, solving cash flow issues, operational analyses, and patient flow and satisfaction improvement projects to name a few. During this time he has worked with various other businesses including a custom design studio/print shop, an accounting firm, website developer, and a construction/remodel company. In previous roles, Xavier worked as a Director of Operations for a group of family practice clinics making various changes to improve compliance, drive better staff and patient engagement, and increase the bottom line. One of the most notable changes led to a 21% increase in patient volume. Xavier is a leader with a passion for growth and progress, he pushes himself and often inspires those around him to push their limits as well. Xavier earned two Master's degrees from Weber State University, a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration. Before his time spent at Weber State, Xavier earned a degree in Health Promotion and Education specialized in Emergency Medical Management with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Utah. He is currently a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and became a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).Xavier is passionate about growth in his hobbies as well. They include gardening such as food forestry, hydroponics, aquaponics, and homesteading. Xavier also enjoys cooking, linguistics (fluent in French, English and Spanish), admiring wildlife especially amphibians, and playing board games with family and friends. Xavier is a husband to an amazing woman, Michelle. Together they have 4 beautiful children.
