I am a biologist and behavioural pharmacologist by training, and I have been working in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 30 years.Starting as a researcher, I became responsible for the In vivo safety team, but the task I enjoyed the most was working as project leader. Initially, for internal projects, but soon after for Spanish and international collaborations, and EU funded projects. I was the company’s representative at several national and international forums (EFPIA, Plataforma Tecnológica Española Medicamentos Innovadores, Forum Horizon 2020 of the CDTI, Strategic Governing group – Neurodegeneration of IMI). I was also the co-coordinator of the Pain group, which was responsible for IMI2 calls in the pain field. I was also project lead and steering board member of several EU and Spanish funded projects.Due to the above-mentioned activities, I became responsible for Partnership, Consortia and Open innovation, first at Esteve Pharmaceuticals, and the last 4 years at Welab Barcelona. I am currently business development manager at Fundación Kaertor.I strongly believe in the collaborative research for fostering new breakthroughs in medical research.
