Oversee chapter leads in a statewide youth voter engagement program that will train volunteers in electoral campaigning and legislative advocacy, make sure that the state and local chapters are working in partnership with and supporting existing gun violence prevention and community organizations, promote an environment of equity and inclusion among the MFOL community in the state.

The Gun Safety Working Group will meet monthly to discuss and develop recommendations to counteract the gun violence epidemic. The issues to be considered by this task force include identifying loopholes in the background check system and reporting processes for individuals who should not have access to firearms, preparing for and preventing a mass shooting events including school shootings, and addressing domestic violence, suicide, and mental health. Once completed the group will then report their findings, research, and reccomendations to Governor Raimondo.
