WHO ARE LOUISIANA HEALTHY SCHOOLS?Louisiana Healthy Schools’ aim is to improve student health and academic achievement through nutrition, physical activity and the management of students’ chronic health conditions. In partnership with Well-Ahead Louisiana, Louisiana Healthy Schools utilizes the Whole School Whole Community Whole Child (WSCC) model as a framework for addressing health in schools. With federal funding, the Louisiana Healthy Schools supports healthier schools through:• strengthening statewide infrastructure through school health councils,• delivering statewide professional development,• providing funding and technical assistance to local educational agencies (LEA),• collaborating with non-governmental organizations to complement and strengthen the work, and• collecting data to inform decision making and evidence based strategies

• Maintain building records and documentation for all students eligible under Section 504 and provide copies to the district Section 504 Coordinator• Ensure the implementation of Section 504 procedures in the school building, including:o Coordinating referralso Determining appropriate Section 504 team composition and participating on Section 504 teams as neededo Facilitating Section 504 evaluations and development of Section 504 planso Providing notices and documenting parental consento Distributing Section 504 plans to appropriate staffo Monitoring the implementation of Section 504 planso Scheduling annual reviews of each Section 504 plano Scheduling period re-evaluations of all students eligible under Section 504 at least every three yearso Assuring that Section 504 plans move with the student to the next grade level and to new schoolso Coordinating training of building staff on Section 504 requirementso Conducting manifestation determinations when required for students eligible under Section 504• Serve as a daily resource to the building administrators, teachers, and staff regarding Section 504• Serve as a liaison between the school building and other district staff regarding Section 504 issues• Maintain contact with the district Section 504 Coordinator and request assistance and training when needed• Attend periodic district Section 504 trainings as needed to stay informed about current district requirements to comply with Section 504

Fifth Grade Teachers provide instruction to students in the last year of elementary school. General responsibilities of a Fifth Grade Teacher are developing curriculum, planning lessons, teaching various subjects, using a variety of teaching methods, using instruction time effectively, assigning homework, grading tests, and reporting to parents.

Responsible for receiving merchandise, unloading or unpacking it, marking it with codes to be identified, stocking shelves, and helping customers place orders. Works in stores, warehouses, stockrooms, and other storage facilities. May involve heavy lifting.

Plans, organizes, and supervises a section of library employees whose duties are specialized and technical, and involves varied procedures and methods, and has direct responsibility for subordinates including training, evaluating, monitoring work performance, setting performance goals and providing an environment in which goals can be achieved and career development is fostered. The Library Supervisor manages the work and resources of the unit including planning, organizing, allocating, and prioritizing both work and resources to meet the goals of the unit, department and library. The classification's responsibilities are primarily supervisory in nature
