In 2016, my first role was as a tester on a contract with the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Sevices (CMS) . Worked on requirement analysis, writing test cases, executing test cases, logging defects, and prepared test reports. In addition , created automated test scripts leveraging HP test solutions software.Next I was a member of the Development team that worked with IT personnel from CMS to satisfy CMS requirements for major and minor releases of the Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MARx) system which maintains enrollment, payment and premium data for Medicare beneficiary enrollments into Medicare Part C and D Plans. The Medicare Advantage & Part D (MAPD) systems provide services to beneficiaries, Plans, and CMS. Assignments included writing code, testing and implementing changes using COBOL language, DB2 for database, and SDLC for documentation. Maintained Master-SDD, JCL Reference Guide, Master Job Schedule and Backup file list for Disaster Recovery. In addition, provided training to Jr. Developers in the usage of the COBOL language and JCL. In 2019 , I became a Scrum Master for various teams where I was responsible for leading teams during Sprint/Iteration Planning, Sprint/Iteration Reviews, Sprint/Iteration Retrospectives and daily scrums to support the teams mission to develop or maintain core applications as well as reporting on team progress to various levels of management as well as ensure that the development team and internal customers had everything they need to succeed, when they need it.Served as the main point of contact to drive effective communication throughout all Project phases of the development cycle. Worked closely with product management and technical stakeholders to clarify the schedule, status and details of each project. At times I filled the role of Product Owner and helped prioritize the Product Backlog and communicatedwith all stakeholders to make sure they were satisfied with the work the team delivered.

Served as the Scrum Master for the QA Automation Team and was the facilitator with duties that included making sure team reached consensus, stayed focused, followed agile principles, and removed impediments.Using Microsoft TFS (Team Foundation server), created and managed work items, epics, stories, project tasks, and other activities to stay on schedule. Met with the team every two weeks to plan sprints and conducted daily stand-ups to help the team communicate with one another, seek support as well as track progress or obstacles. Facilitated team demonstrations of the newly automated test scripts that were developed using UFT with VB script language. In addition, performed load testing prior to the tool being released to Production.Created automated regression testing scripts using QTP 11 which enabled the QA and UAT team to, at the push of a button, run these scripts using udeploy tool enabling faster deployments for new releases of the software.Developed a QA Portal using Visual Studio 2010 and C++. This portal was considered a critical application for the QA Department as it displayed QA metrics reports from TFS in dashboard fashion and was leveraged by upper management for reporting purposes. These reports included code inspection metrics as well as bug deficiency ratios in QA, UAT and PROD environments.

Provided support for daily production and upgrades of Fraud Detection Client Server C# application that performed searches for fraudulent and suspicious transactions for banks and credit unions across the United states. At close of business, clients sent a copy of their daily transactions which were then loaded into BankDetect's fraud detection proprietary software and in the morning the client receoved a report of all suspicious activity.In addition, supervised two junior software engineers

Assisted in developing methodology for managing Y2K changes. Reviewed and selected Y2K tools and trained other programmers in their use. Updated Bank’s senior management with regular progress reports. Coordinated end-to-end testing with the Federal Reserve.Recognized for efforts with personal citation from Rigg’s Chairman of the Board.Presented Y2K impact study to Peruvian banking executives via teleconference at the request of U.S. State Department.Served as State Department liaison and traveled to Bogota and Cali, Colombia, to advise executives from the banking and health industry as to Y2K impact as well as a presentation of contingency plans.Reengineered various manual processes and converted them to mainframe CICS screens using COBOL as the primary language and ASSEMBLY.Provided primary and secondary support for eight COBOL mainframe vendor applications running in an OS/390 CICS environment. Support included monitoring the day to day batch cycle and fixing any abends, installing fixes and applying, testing and implementing new versions. In addition, trained junior developers in the usage of the COBOL language and JCL.Ensured users needs were met by applying, testing and implementing customized changes to the vendor software.
