I contribute to American Forward's strategic goals by contributing to critical parts of America Forward's work and providing support for several engagement activities, including America Forward's federal collective advocacy, coalition advocacy capacity-building, and our external Engagement.Supporting efforts to advance federal policy improvements such as scaling proven workforce development solutions and student success programs while building evidence on promising models; improving data and performance assessment to enable stronger decision-making by participants, local leaders, and policymakers across the system; and empowering innovative, coordinated efforts to better leverage funds to improve participants’ long-term economic mobility and strengthen equity.

Facilitated over one hundred Deliberative Dialogue forums across the country on issues ranging from National Debt, Free Speech, Gun Control, Politics, COVID-19, and more. Participants included professors, community members, elected officials, and or students in forums consisting of 15 – 50 attendees. Trained hundreds of college students in learning how to facilitate forums, communicate across differences in policy and values, build community, and healthily approach conflict in everyday situations.

Served as the National Committee liaison and State Organizing Committee Co-Chair for Texas and supervised all board members as well as their respective regional captains. Led the Texas Chapter in strategic outreach, marketing, statewide events, and recruitment of new members to aid the organization’s goals of defeating toxic partisanship, mending social divisions, and repairing democracy through proven solutions. Provided general support to the National Committee on grassroots efforts, organizational development, and membership growth strategy. Under the leadership of my board we Increased the Texas general membership from 3,000 to 8,000 members in less than a year.
